Fall 2017 Microenterprise Assistance Program

Tuesday, December 5, 2017

The Washington County Local Development Corporation has again partnered with Warren County LDC and SUNY Adirondack Continuing Education to present the Fall 2017 session of the Microenterprise Assistance Small Business Program.

The program is held Tuesday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the SUNY Adirondack campus on the following dates: 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/7, 11/14, 11/28, 12/5, 12/12 (No class 11/21)

Whether you’re an entrepreneur looking to open a new business or want to expand your existing small business, this comprehensive and informative ten week course is for you!

This course is designed to provide candidates with in-depth coverage of the business planning and operational process. Each session offers information relevant to building and utilizing an effective business plan and covers other critical topics such as advertising, budgeting and bookkeeping, legal issues, insurance requirements, taxes, human resources, and financing strategies. SCORE kicks the course off by providing an overview of building a business plan and how to use that plan to succeed, grow and thrive. Every session brings an area professional to the classroom to discuss best practices from his/her respective field.

The fee is $150.00 for each participant. In addition to learning valuable start up and expansion information, completing this course qualifies candidates to apply for funding a start up business in Washington or Warren counties.

Please contact SUNY Adirondack at 518-743-2238 to register for this class or call Deanna at 746-2295 for more information.
