Announced in 2015, the Broadband For All program calls for $500 million in State funds to be allocated to service providers offering the lowest bids for upgrading existing service or providing new service to specific geographies. Work to deliver new service is anticipated to begin in 2018.
Of the available $500 million in State funding invested across 62 Counties in NYS, Washington County will see a total investment in of $24,506 million (3 times greater than if funding were divided up per County).
The State selected four providers that submitted bids to receive funding to increase access to broadband service in Washington County:
